“Opportunities don't happen. You create them.” – Chris Grosser

Introduction

The Enterprise department empowers students to develop essential business and entrepreneurial skills for the modern world. Through practical and engaging lessons, students learn how businesses operate, succeed, and adapt in an ever-changing global environment. Our department is committed to nurturing creative, independent thinkers who are ready to tackle real-world challenges and seize opportunities in business.

Curriculum Intent

Our Enterprise curriculum is designed to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders. By providing a solid foundation in business concepts, students gain an understanding of enterprise, marketing, and finance while developing transferable skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and decision-making.

The BTEC Tech Award in Enterprise gives students the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of running a business, from spotting business opportunities to understanding financial data. Students will engage in practical activities, including planning and pitching their own business ideas, enabling them to link theory to real-world scenarios. The curriculum encourages resilience, adaptability, and innovation, preparing students for further study or careers in business.
