What do we expect to see:
Targeted additional support strategies resulting in every student, however financially disadvantaged, being able to:
- Improve their levels of attainment and progress
- Close attainment gaps relative to school averages
- Have full access to our curriculum
- Access our extracurricular provision

Pupils completing their GCSE's in 2019 (the last set of external data due to Covid) achieved a progress 8 score of +0.05. This shows that they made similar progress to all pupils nationally.

Curriculum Support
A timetable of revision and coursework booster sessions are in place for Key Stage 4 pupils to ensure support in preparation for exams is structured and fully supportive.
Further revision sessions will be held for targeted pupils after school. This will act as master classes for those pupils seeking extra support and guidance in their learning.
TA Support
The SEN team works with pupils that require extra support, either in the form of one-to-one lesson support, small group work or one-to-one tuition. Close monitoring and assessing of all pupils needs ensures the correct support is in place at all times.
An emotional literacy programme will begin alongside very successful literacy and numeracy programmes.
Extracurricular Activities
A range of extracurricular activities will continue to be supported by the school, this includes sporting and outdoor activities, team-building and enterprise days. Pupils will also be supported to attend curriculum trips such as our PE residential and English workshops.
Pastoral Support
The school will continue employ an attendance support assistant to work with the senior leadership team and external agencies, on improving and monitoring attendance.
The school is training one member of staff further, in emotional coaching in order to provide emotional support for students who need it and training for staff.
Raising Aspirations
Additional trips and visits will be arranged by members of staff to relevant businesses and universities with the aim of raising the aspirations of higher attaining pupils in the school. Pupils will take part in STEM activities run by local universities, visit career shows and have talks from people in different careers to increase their awareness of different career opportunities.
